Do you ever just stand there at the grocery store and stare at the umpteen salad dressings and hem and haw over what looks the most natural and fresh? If you are like me, you have realized that sometimes making dressing is just the only way to truly enjoy a special meal. Well, yesterday was Father’s Day so we had a wonderful supper menu of BBQ Ribs and Wedge Salads with creamy homemade Blue Cheese dressing… It was excellent! For appetizers, Greg’s mom made an incredible Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Dip which was positively yummy ( I will have to share that one with you some time too.) But today I am giving you this simple and easy recipe and if you have blue cheese haters in your family, then click here for my Caesar Dressing recipe. It’s hard to imagine someone not loving blue cheese, but it happens…
- 1 whole 5oz. Package of Crumbled Blue Cheese
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 Heavy Tbsp. Golden Balsamic Vinegar
- Cracked Pepper to taste
Directions: In a bowl, whisk sour cream, mayo, buttermilk and vinegar. Next fold in the crumbles of blue cheese. Add a little cracked pepper to taste.
