The DeKalb County Airport in Atlanta, is home to one of our favorite restaurants in the world. The 57th Fighter Group makes you feel like you just stepped on to a WWII movie set, complete with a farmhouse, planes and replicas from the era, as well as the live entertainment of the runway just a few feet from where you sit dining.
The pilot of this baby swooped in and snuggled right up to us. For a brief second, I had images of having to grab Grandma and dive toward the nearby sand bags… I’m telling you that’s entertainment! Even the teens at our table were completely impressed. Here are a few details and then I will leave you with some more photos.
The Dinner Menu boasts their Signature Beer Cheese Soup, which is delicious (I still have to figure out a way to make that sometime).
Some other things on the Dinner Menu:
-
Steaks
- Stuffed Trout
- Crawfish & Crab Etouffee’ (very good! Charlotte wanted to steel my dish)
- Honey Lacquered Duck
Closed Mondays
Open for Sunday Brunch
Also, they have a Lounge (separate from the Dining Room) and Lunch Menu and I hear it gets pretty wild with ballroom dancing some nights! Doesn’t that sound fun?! Swing dancing and all that jazz, I guess.
Be sure to check it out whether you are on a date, in Atlanta for Business, or just out with the family! It’s absolutely adorable with GREAT Food.
