The Sweet Palace in Philipsburg, Montana is the most wonderful old timey shop! You can even order goodies on their website for shipping and their website has really good pictures…

  Situated in the old mining town of Philipsburg, Montana.  You just grab a bag (or 4) and go to town!

We had a blast there last summer while on our road trip from The Bitterroot Valley over Skalkaho Pass. Philipsburg can be reached easily from Butte, but the pass is fun. Note:  Skalkaho Pass closes in winter and is not paved.

Charlotte found the little “Q-tip Flowers” fascinating along the pass…

You can stop and dig for sapphires at nearby Gem Mountain, where Savannah found a 6 Karat Sapphire!
