The Smoothie of Life

So, today it is snowing….I mean, a LOT!!  That may sound strange considering the fact I am in Montana, but we don’t generally get a ton of snow in The Bitterroot Valley.  Anyway, looking at the snow reminded me of Christmas, which then reminded me of a silly thing I have been meaning to share with you.  Whenever the house is full of guests and those guests include Grandpa Jim, you awake to the fresh sounds of the coffee maker brewing your favorite morning blend?

Nope…The soft soothing sound of the Ninja

Yep… The sounds of Grandpa’s Famous Smoothie of Life being blended is rather odd for those of us who crave the morning Jo, (especially cuz I am freezing at the moment and a chilly shake is the last thing I want and just yesterday I was sharing the Greek Islands!) but he seems to rather enjoy it. Charlotte likes it too and whenever he is mixing one up, you can bet she will be standing there looking at him like “Where is mine?”  I seriously thought my little ninja was going to burn out this past season with all the spices and junk we were throwing in it!   It just kept begging for more.  We use it to make Tzatziki, Bruschetta, Marinades & Dressings and it goes in the dishwasher again and again.  I know I feel like an infomercial, but we don’t have a blender and this seems to do the job.    It’s a little strange, but this daily smoothie really keeps Grandpa in ship shape!  You can swap out the strawberries and use any frozen berries you like and you can use soy milk or almond milk instead of regular.
